Forest For Trees Collective honors The School of Hard Knocks at Opening of SILVERS Exhibition Featuring Women artists 50+

An exhi­bi­tion hon­or­ing matri­ar­chal lega­cies by hon­ors this matri­ar­chal lega­cy by cen­ter­ing the voic­es of women over fifty who are lead­ing envi­ron­men­tal jus­tice move­ments, stew­ard­ing land, and redefin­ing sus­tain­abil­i­ty through lived experience.

Forest For Trees Collective (7B Nolan Park) on Governors Island, is thrilled to announce the opening of SILVERS, an exhibition that explores the “grandmother theory” and the pivotal role of grandmothers in human evolution, environmental justice, and cultural preservation. The exhibition opens Saturday, August 29, 2026 with an open ceremony honoring The School of Hard Knocks from 3pm-4pm.
