Another building

another building is a series of films that take place in and around historic buildings and sites connected to the Dutch Colonial History. As an artistic response to a place, another building aims to create curiosity in a location and history by contrasting contemporary art (dance, music, digital film) with the site and its culture.

Each story stands alone, but together, the films create an alternative overview of little known Dutch History while revealing global connections.

“these films combine all that i am interested in—history, anthropology, dance, and architecture.”

— Gabri Christa, The Scholar & Feminist Online
